Cookies and browser storage

Cookies are small text files that a website places in your browser and reads back on your next visit. Your browser’s local storage and session storage work in a similar way.

This website sets no cookies of its own and uses no local storage. No analytics tools are built in. The fonts are served from our own server, so opening a page makes no connection to Google Fonts or any other provider.

The only thing used is your browser’s session storage, and only for the steps of the booking form: it hands your enquiry over to the confirmation page, stays in your browser, is never sent to us, and is deleted after you submit (details under “Booking form” below). Because this storage is strictly necessary for the service you asked for, it needs no consent (§ 165(3) of the Austrian Telecommunications Act 2021).

Third-party cookies can only appear after you do something yourself: if you load the interactive Google map on a route page, Google Ireland Limited may set cookies — not before (see “Google Maps”). Cookies for Google Ads conversion measurement are set only if you consent through the cookie banner (see the next section).

You can view and delete cookies and stored site data at any time in your browser’s settings, and choose to block cookies altogether or only third-party ones. In most browsers this is under “Settings” → “Privacy and security” or “Privacy”. Even if you block cookies, this website keeps working, including the booking form.

Google Ads conversion measurement

We advertise on Google. To find out whether a booking enquiry came from one of those ads, we may use Google Ads conversion measurement. The provider is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.

If you consent, your browser loads a script from Google and cookies are set — for example cookies named “_gcl_…” (conversion linker). They record that you reached the website through one of our ads. If you then send an enquiry, the confirmation page reports that conversion to Google. In doing so Google receives, among other things, your IP address, the cookie identifier and the page visited. We do not pass the details you entered in the form (name, contact details, journey details) to Google. We only see aggregated figures, such as how many enquiries came from ads.

These cookies are typically kept for 90 days. This may involve a transfer to Google LLC in the United States, which is based on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, under which Google is certified.

The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, § 165(3) of the Austrian Telecommunications Act 2021). Without consent, none of this is loaded or set. You can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future — through the settings in the cookie banner or by deleting the cookies in your browser.

Server log files

When you open a page, your browser sends technical data that our hosting provider records in log files: IP address, date and time of the request, the page requested, browser type and operating system, and the referring page where applicable.

This data is technically necessary to run a website and serves security and troubleshooting. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in secure, uninterrupted operation (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). We do not combine it with other data and do not analyse it on a personal level. Retention follows our hosting provider’s settings; deletion is automatic after a short period.

If a booking enquiry fails to send, the server writes the enquiry number and the email address you gave into its error log so the failure can be traced. The same retention applies to that log.

Hosting, and sending the emails from the booking form, is provided as a processor by ALL-INKL.COM – Neue Medien Münnich, Hauptstraße 68, 02742 Friedersdorf, Germany. The servers are located in the European Union.

Booking form: what data, why, and on what basis

The form on this website is a request for a transfer; we quote you a price personally afterwards. When you send it, you give us: title, first and last name, email address, phone number with country code (and the country derived from it), pick-up and destination including the address or accommodation, dates and times, flight numbers and flight times or a note that you are not flying, the number of adults and children, the child seats you need (baby seat, child seat, booster seat), luggage and ski equipment, the vehicle you chose, the same details for the return journey if you book one, and anything you write in the free notes field. The enquiry number and the language of the page are added.

The number of children and the child seats requested show that children are travelling and roughly how old they are. The notes field contains whatever you choose to write — please only put in it what we need to know for the journey.

We use these details to send you a quote and to organise and carry out the journey. The legal basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, and performing it (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). The tick box at the end of the form confirms that you have read this policy; processing your enquiry rests on the contract, not on consent.

When you submit, our server also records your IP address and the time. These details appear in the email we receive and help us recognise abusive and fake enquiries. For the same reason the server counts how many enquiries come from one IP address and limits them to ten per hour. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in protecting the form against abuse (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Between submitting and the confirmation page, your browser keeps a summary of your enquiry in session storage (name, contact details, journey details, notes) so the confirmation page can show it. This data never leaves your browser; the confirmation page deletes it once it has been displayed, and it disappears anyway when you close the tab. This storage is strictly necessary for the service you asked for (§ 165(3) of the Austrian Telecommunications Act 2021).

Who receives your enquiry

The form sends your enquiry by email, through the mail server of our hosting provider ALL-INKL.COM (see above), to our inbox. That inbox is provided by Google (Gmail). This may involve a transfer to Google LLC in the United States, which is based on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, under which Google is certified.

A copy of your enquiry is sent the same way to the email address you gave us.

Beyond that, we do not pass your data on to third parties unless it is necessary to carry out the journey.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiries for as long as we need them to quote and to carry out the journey. Enquiries that do not turn into a booking are deleted once they are no longer needed.

Where an enquiry leads to a journey, the accounting records are kept for seven years, as the statutory retention obligation requires (§ 132 of the Austrian Federal Fiscal Code, BAO).

For the limit of ten enquiries per hour, the server does not store your IP address in plain text, only as a cryptographic hash (SHA-256) together with the time of the enquiry. After one hour the entry is no longer taken into account, and it is deleted with the next enquiry.

Phone, email and WhatsApp

You can also call us, send an email or message us on WhatsApp. We then process what you tell us yourself for the same purposes, on the same legal basis (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and for the same period as enquiries sent through the form.

Our pages contain links that open a conversation in WhatsApp. Until you click one, no connection to WhatsApp is made — we embed no WhatsApp widget and no script.

If you do message us there, Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd. processes your data as its own controller under its own terms, which may involve a transfer outside the EU. If you would rather avoid that, phone and email reach us just as well.

Google Maps

On some pages you can view the route on an interactive Google map. The map loads only when you click “Show interactive map”. Until then no connection to Google is made and nothing is sent to Google; you see only a picture served from our own server.

After the click, your browser loads the map directly from Google (Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland). Google receives your IP address and the address of the page, and may set cookies. A transfer to Google LLC in the United States is possible and is based on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. The legal basis is the consent you give by clicking (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, § 165(3) of the Austrian Telecommunications Act 2021). If you do not load the map, no connection is made.

Links to other websites

This website links to Google Maps and to a few external sources of information. Data processing on linked sites is the sole responsibility of their operators. Apart from the map described above, which loads only when you click, we embed no content from those providers in our pages.

Your rights

You have the right at any time to obtain information about the data we hold about you, to have inaccurate data corrected, to have data erased, to restrict processing, to data portability, and to object to processing based on legitimate interest. Any consent you have given can be withdrawn at any time with effect for the future.
