Frequently asked questions

The questions guests ask us most — about prices, waiting time, ski luggage and winter driving. If your answer is not here, just call us: +43 664 930 66 26.

Prices and payment

Is the price per person or per vehicle?

Per vehicle, always. The price you are quoted covers the whole vehicle including luggage and ski equipment — whether you are two or eight makes no difference to it. From four people upwards a private transfer usually works out cheaper than seats on a shared shuttle. Every route is listed on our price list.

Is the price really fixed?

Yes. You get a fixed price before you travel and that is the price you pay. No meter, no surcharge for luggage or ski equipment, no surprise at the door. Tolls and the Arlberg Tunnel are already included.

When and how do I pay?

You pay your driver directly — cash or card, before the journey or after it, whichever you prefer. We take no deposit and we do not hold your card.

Can I cancel free of charge?

Yes, free of charge up to 24 hours before pickup. A call or a WhatsApp message is enough.

Are tolls and the Arlberg Tunnel included?

Yes. Swiss and Austrian road charges and the Arlberg Tunnel are all in the fixed price. You pay nothing extra along the way.

Airports, arrival and waiting time

What happens if my flight is delayed?

We track your flight and adjust the pickup time automatically — you do not need to call or message us. Land three hours late and we are there three hours late too.

How much waiting time is free?

60 minutes, counted from the moment your flight actually lands rather than from the scheduled time. That covers a slow baggage belt in almost every case.

Where do I meet my driver?

In the arrivals hall, holding a sign with your name. Before you land you get a message by email, WhatsApp or SMS with your driver’s name and mobile number, and the make, colour and registration of the car that will be waiting.

Which airports do you drive from?

Zurich, Innsbruck, Munich, Friedrichshafen, Memmingen and Altenrhein — and on to the whole Arlberg region. Journey times and prices are on our airport transfer page.

Do I need ID for the transfer from Zurich?

The Zurich route leaves Switzerland and enters Austria. Both are in the Schengen area, so there are normally no checks — but carry a passport or national ID card, for everyone travelling, children included.

Vehicles, luggage and children

What vehicles do you drive?

VW Caravelle vans for up to 8 passengers and Mercedes minivans for up to 7 — all 4x4, with winter tyres from November to April, snow chains on board and a rear-door ski rack.

Do you take skis and snowboards?

Yes, at no extra cost. Skis, boards and boot bags travel on the rear rack rather than inside the vehicle. Tell us how many sets you have when you book so we send the right vehicle.

Do you provide child seats?

Baby seats, toddler seats and boosters are free on request. We just need the ages of the children at booking so the right seats are fitted before we set off.

How much luggage can I bring?

Suitcases and hand luggage are included. If you are travelling with a lot of luggage or with special equipment, say so when you book and the right vehicle comes from the start.

Can my dog travel with us?

Tell us when you book and we confirm what is possible. It depends on the vehicle and the size of the group.

Winter on the Arlberg

Do you drive in heavy snow?

Yes. Our vehicles are four-wheel drive with winter tyres from November to April, and snow chains are on board. Our drivers use these roads all year, not only in peak season.

What if the Arlbergpass or the tunnel is closed?

Normally one covers for the other: if the pass is shut we drive through the tunnel, if the tunnel is shut we go over the pass. We check the closures on the morning of your transfer and plan the pickup around them. There is more in our Arlberg guide.

Why does the journey take longer on a Saturday?

Saturday is changeover day across the Alps — half the region swaps guests on the same morning. On a Saturday in January or February we allow about an hour extra and build it into the pickup time.

How far ahead should I book?

For the peak weeks — Christmas, New Year and the February holidays — as early as you can, because vehicles go first. Mid-January is usually fine at short notice.

Around St. Anton

Do you drive within the village too?

Yes. To the lift, to a restaurant, to après-ski and back to your accommodation — around the clock, all year. Details on our local taxi page.

Do you drive to the railway stations?

Yes — St. Anton am Arlberg station, and also Langen am Arlberg and Landeck-Zams, at a fixed price and on time for your train. See train station taxi.

Which other places do you serve?

We cover the whole Arlberg region and the surrounding valleys: St. Christoph, Stuben, Lech, Zurs, Klösterle, Langen and the villages of the Stanzertal, plus Ischgl, Galtür, Kappl and Landeck.

Are you available around the clock?

Yes, 24/7 and all year — including early departures and late arrivals. Phone +43 664 930 66 26, or message us on WhatsApp.

Are you a broker or an actual taxi company?

We are a local taxi company based in St. Anton am Arlberg, driving here since 1998. Not a booking platform and not a broker — you speak to the same people who drive you. What that means in practice is on our private transfer page.

A question about a specific route?

Every route has its own page, with the journey time, the fixed price, where your driver meets you at that airport, and questions that only apply to that route.
