Getting to the Arlberg from Zurich Airport

Zurich Airport sits about 200 km from St. Anton — roughly 2h 20min via Winterthur, St. Gallen, the Diepoldsau border and the S16 Arlberg Schnellstraße. Lech and Zurs are about the same time; the villages of the Klostertal a little less. Zurich Airport (ZRH) is Switzerland’s largest airport, in Kloten, about 13 km north of the city centre. It is the home base of Swiss International Air Lines and offers the widest choice of long-haul and European connections within reach of the Arlberg.

For your arrival only one thing matters: there are two arrival halls, Arrival 1 and Arrival 2. Which one you come out of depends on the flight, not on the terminal you checked in at. We track your flight and know in advance — you do not have to.

Schengen flights typically take 15 to 25 minutes from landing to the arrivals hall; flights from outside Schengen take longer because passport control is added. That time is already accounted for in your free waiting time.

There are three realistic ways from Zurich Airport to the Arlberg. Which one suits you depends on how many you are and how much you are carrying.

Zurich city instead of the airport

Not everyone is going to the airport. Some guests want Zurich itself — a night before the flight home, the Hauptbahnhof, or a few days in the city. We drive that the same way, door to door, and collect you in the city again afterwards.

Allow around 30 minutes longer than the airport run, and about €50 more — the drive is further. We confirm the exact price when you book, once we have the address in the city.
