Meeting your driver at Altenrhein Airport

Before you land, we'll send you an email, WhatsApp message or SMS — whichever suits you — with everything you need:

  • Your driver's name and direct mobile number
  • Make, colour and registration number of the car that will be waiting

As soon as your driver arrives at the airport, you get another message: your driver is here, and here is exactly where to walk.

Altenrhein is the smallest airport we serve, and the easiest to be met at — you are outside within minutes of the wheels touching down. Your driver messages you when he arrives and waits just past the doors with a sign with your name on it.

If you would rather call than read, the number is in your hand before you take off.

Ten to fifteen minutes from landing to the arrivals hall.

Bags delayed, wrong hall, phone dead. It happens, and none of it is a problem — you have your driver's direct mobile number, and he answers it. There is no call centre in between and no booking reference to quote. You are talking to the person standing in the arrivals hall.

The road from Altenrhein (St. Gallen) to St. Anton

From Altenrhein Airport the drive follows the Rheintal motorway south to Feldkirch, then Bludenz and up the Klostertal on the S16 to the Arlberg. St. Anton am Arlberg sits right on the S16 — we leave the motorway and drive you straight to your door. In normal conditions it is roughly 110 km and about 1h 20min; we plan for realistic winter timing rather than a best-case number.

Your arrival in St. Anton ski resort

The final approach, and the road conditions.

The Arlberg is winter country from November to April. The final climb over the pass or through the tunnel can see heavy snow, ice and the occasional closure. Our vehicles are 4x4, carry snow chains and are prepared for 2,000 m altitude — this is our home road in every condition, and if the pass closes we already know the alternatives.

Direct to your accommodation

The ski resort runs along one valley, and your address is either east of the centre or west of it. That decides the last five minutes.

West and uphill: Stadle, then Mooserkreuz, then the turning to Dengert and Moos, before the road climbs on to St. Christoph. Coming from Altenrhein Airport you reach these first, before the centre.

East, along the valley floor: Untergand, Gand, Gsör, St. Jakob and Nasserein, each on the side road that runs parallel to the Arlbergstraße.

Give us the address from your booking and we drive to the door. We do not look it up on the way.

The short Swiss route, and a popular one with smaller groups. One vehicle covers almost every party that lands here, kit included.

Skis, snowboards and luggage

Skis and snowboards travel on the rear-door ski rack, outside the cabin — nobody spends the drive with a ski bag across their knees. Ski carriage is free: we charge no equipment supplement the way a shared shuttle does. Boot bags, helmets and suitcases go inside with the rest of the luggage.

Both vehicles: 4x4, winter tyres from November to April, snow chains on board.

If you are more than eight, tell us when you book and we plan it as two vehicles from the start — not as a surprise at the airport.

Private transfer vs. shared shuttle

This is a private transfer: the vehicle is yours alone, the price is per car not per seat, and we set off when you land — no waiting for a shuttle to fill, no other resorts on the way. Flight tracking is included, so your driver is there even if you are delayed.
