The road from Zurich to Langen
From Zurich Airport the route heads east past Winterthur and St. Gallen, then crosses into Austria at the Diepoldsau border. It follows the Rhine valley through Hohenems and Feldkirch onto the A14 to Bludenz, where the S16 Arlberg road climbs the Klostertal toward the pass. Langen am Arlberg lies at the western portal of the Arlberg tunnel, where the S16 meets the pass road over the Arlberg. In normal conditions it is roughly 183 km and about 2h; we plan for realistic winter timing rather than a best-case number.
