The Route from Zürs am Arlberg to Innsbruck Airport
The Zürs am Arlberg to Innsbruck Airport route drops down the Flexenstraße through the galleries to Alpe Rauz and then climbs again: east over the Arlbergpass, past St. Christoph at 1,800 metres, which is the highest point of the whole journey and comes in the first quarter of an hour rather than at the end. From there the road falls into St. Anton and joins the S16; at Landeck the S16 becomes the A12 and follows the Inn past Imst and Telfs to Kranebitten, where the airport sits. The Arlberg road tunnel is not used on this drive, no border is crossed and there is no tunnel toll.
The journey is direct: no other passengers, no second vehicle and no stop between your door and the hall. Because the airport sits at Kranebitten on the western edge of Innsbruck, the transfer never crosses the city — the motorway ends within sight of the building.
